BeamNG - East Coast USA 1950s
A reimagining of the East Coast USA map in the 1950s. I modified some areas and "undeveloped" them, removed the large canyon in the middle of the map to make space for more exploration areas, and changed the layout of the outlying towns to make them feel more grounded as towns. I focused on blending the content that was already there with new content to hide the additions to the world. It was a good exercise in analyzing and matching the style in other parts of the map.
Working time: 3 weeks
The gas station was turned into a small town with some houses and other buildings.
The suburb houses were "undeveloped" to a dirt road and larger, scattered houses.
The large canyon in the middle of the map was removed and replaced with forest tracks and a small lake.
